Cleaning up the dot your pen leaves

Tapping a button with the pen leaves a small mark. With this on, Modulanner tries to erase it for you. It's off by default.

How careful it is: This is deliberately cautious. Erasing happens as a side effect of a tap you made for a different reason, so the bar for touching your page is set high. If what it's about to erase looks like anything other than a lone small dot — if several strokes are in range, or anything that isn't a pen stroke — it does nothing at all.

What that means in practice: the failure you'll occasionally see is the dot is still there, not my writing disappeared. That's the trade we chose on purpose. If you'd rather never have stray dots, tap with your finger instead — finger taps don't leave a mark.

Known issue: On some firmware the erase reports success but the mark comes back when the page is reloaded. Nothing is lost when this happens.
